In 2000, when Shobi University changed from a junior college to a four-year institution, the Jazz & Pops course (later the Jazz major) was established and the JC (Jazz & Contemporary) circle was formed as a place to put lessons into practice. After 24 years, the circle will hold its first regular concert at Shinjuku PIT INN. The jazz major was later absorbed into the pops course, so the name will be different from last year, but as the 11th regular concert, selected undergraduate and graduate students will form groups to perform, as in previous years, and demonstrate the results of their daily studies. At the end, there will also be a session with faculty and alumni.
The venue will be open as usual, not rented out, so please come along.
