Formed in 1990 with the motto "Big band forever!" Their repertoire covers a wide range of music from swing jazz to Toru Takemitsu, with which they enjoy popularity among various audiences. The bid band co-performed with big-name artists including David Sanborn, Chicago, and Shirley Bassey. In 2007, they were awarded the Arts Festival Excellence Awards of Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
