“Quadrangle” is a band that pursues the infinite resonance born at the intersection of four distinct personalities.

We are not merely a quadrangle. Through the four-dimensional geometry woven by four musicians, we have breathed life into the universe of music and created sounds that transcend the boundaries of time and space.

Six years after our formation, we’ve released our long-awaited debut album, 'Uchronia', on our independent label, 'Fenice Recordings'. This work, which transforms the concept of “non-existent time” into accessible melodies, encompasses a wide range of expressions—from breathtaking pianissimo to soul-stirring dynamism.

The group is centered around violinist Tomohiro Ishii, who won third place at the 2024 Seifert Competition, an international jazz competition in Poland, and features pianist Akira Ishii, bassist Hiroaki Mizutani, and drummer Kazumi Ikenaga. Blending the talents of both emerging artists and veterans, they weave music that defies conventional formats.

For this performance, we welcome guitarist Shotaro Nozu as a special guest. “Quadrangle,” a work shaped by its four vertices, will gain a new vertex for this night alone, quietly expanding its contours. It is, so to speak, “Quadrangle Expanded”—a one-night-only sonic geometry woven by these five musicians.

While retaining the name “Quadrangle,” a fifth vertex appears tonight alone. We invite you to witness that moment and discover what landscape its resonance will paint.
