The Timeless Project, launched by Aki Takase and Daniel Erdmann in Berlin in the fall of 2025, was born from their desire to further expand the possibilities of music experimentally by working with a larger ensemble, building on their previous collaborations. This project aims to foster musical dialogue through collaboration and exchange among musicians across nationalities and generations. What matters most to them is the “sound” that emerges from this collaboration and the energy collectively created by the musicians. In Tokyo, they will perform with a specially assembled large ensemble featuring musicians spanning a wide range of generations.

Where is our music headed from here? What is happening now, and what will the future bring? The linear timeline is removed; we want to connect the good things from the past with ideas for the future and the present. (Aki Takase)
