Sadao Watanabe: Born in Utsunomiya in 1933. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo and joined numerous bands, including Toshiko Akiyoshi's Cozy Quartet. After studying abroad at the Berklee College of Music, he became one of Japan's top musicians, performing on the world stage with his unique style that transcends the boundaries of jazz. His energetic performances over the past 75 years have inspired and moved people of all ages worldwide.
