Quadrangle is a band that pursues infinite resonance born from the intersection of four unique personalities. We are not just a square. Four musicians weave a four-dimensional geometric pattern, breathing life into the universe of music and creating sounds that transcend time and space. Past and future merge, enveloping the listener's soul in an acoustic space that transcends the boundaries of time.
Six years after forming, we are finally releasing our long-awaited first album, “Uchronia,” on our own label, Fenice Recordings. Our music, which elevates the concept of “non-existent time” into familiar melodies, is at times delicate with breath-taking pianissimo, and at other times passionate, shaking the depths of the soul.
Violinist Tomohiro Ishii won third place at the prestigious Seifert Competition, an international jazz competition in Poland, in 2024, earning worldwide recognition for his talent. Centered around him, the ensemble features pianist Akira Ishii, bassist Hiroaki Mizutani, and drummer Kazumi Ikenaga—a group of seasoned veterans at the top of their game. The musical journey we create effortlessly transcends traditional musical boundaries, guiding listeners into uncharted territories of sound.
