The great critic Shuichi Kato once said. "I don't know if life has any value, but without life there is no value." It may not be a special word, but I like to think it is a very simple and modest golden saying that says that only by living can we find some significance for today, tomorrow, and the future.
Since the death of my father, I have been feeling closer to death, and as I am getting closer to that age, death has become even closer to me (I am sure my seniors in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s would laugh at me), and the annual 3-Days has come like a wave.
On the first day of the 3DAYS, as last year, we will be joined by a quartet of my pride and joy, who will perform originals and standards with the young and talented members who are expected to take the music world beyond the jazz world with their ideas and passion that will be bubbling over like hot water.
On the second day, the trio of Otomo Yoshihide and Mitsuru Nasuno, an old acquaintance who always calls out "Tama-chan!", and the guest Risa Takeda, whose parallel world in the brain is exploding, will join the trio for the first meeting of the improvisation night.
The final day will feature the Takehiro Honda Tribute Band, which will perform only the music of Takehiro Honda, a "summer man" born on August 21, and whose members are all closely related to Takehiro Honda. Unfortunately, bass player Yasushi Yoneki will not be able to join the band due to illness. Yoshiyuki Hatakeyama from Miyako will play in his place.
I have been talking about a lot of depressing topics lately, and my words have become somewhat dark and negative, but I would like to present music that only I can express because I am alive and full of self-love in a good way. I would be happy if you could join us for this 3DAYS event.
