I took a vision test for renewal of my driver's license and the "glasses, etc." requirement was removed. Perhaps it is because I live in the countryside and see only distant mountains, but it is getting harder and harder to see things nearby. Perhaps the point of focus has changed. They say that as you get older, it happens. When I heard a tone or phrase that I had not noticed before on a beloved disc that I had listened to more than 100 times, I thought it was due to the performance of the high-end audio system that I happened to be listening to, but it may be something else since a similar thing happened often. Did my ears not get any better, or did something change with age that reacts in the inner ear? As a person who has had no musical education since childhood and who found himself in a band, I wonder if my resolution to recognize tone, harmony, and rhythm has improved as a result of being blessed with friends and an environment that has allowed me to continue to play in a luxurious orchestra like phonolite while repeating trial and error. If so, I'd like to see a little further.

Every time I think, "I wonder if this is the last time...," but once the show starts, the wonderful performance makes me think, "I want to do it again!" I'm so glad I kept going. This music is made possible by these musicians. We are a large group, so we can't do it so often (about once a year lately). Please come and listen to this opportunity.
