This will be pianist Mitsuhiro Itagaki's first 2 DAYS at the Shinjuku Pit Inn. Please come and join us.

On the first day, Tamaya Honda (ds) and Yosuke Inoue (b) will join me for a "Special Trio". The story of how I was able to ask these best and strongest musicians to perform at this year's event will be a treat on the day of the live concert. I will play the piano as intensely as I can with a mix of standards, famous jazz tunes, and music by Fumio Karashima (p), who is related to the three of us and was also my mentor. Please come and see us.

And on the second day, we will present "Love is Blue," a theatrical (intense) music group. I have been working with drummer Ritsuko Mishina for more than 10 years. The trio's sound has recently been enhanced by the addition of robust bassist Hironobu Otsuki. The band will be fronted by Yuya Yoneda aka "Destructive Saxophone" and Hiroaki Kono aka "Naniwa's Power Hitter" on trombone, who will bring out the hidden face of the Itagaki Trio, creating a colorful, unique, passionate and fun band sound.
