Or Bareket, an Israeli bassist, has been gaining attention as one of the most versatile bassists on the New York jazz scene. In 2011, he won the International Society of Bassist's Jazz Competition, and since relocating to New York, he has been busy as a bassist in many of today's leading jazz groups, including 3 COHENS, Gilad Hekselman, Billy Hart, and Shai Maestro. This trio's tour will feature Godwin Louis, a saxophonist born in Harlem, New York, who has toured the world as a finalist in the Monk Competition and is now the most popular saxophonist in New York City. The trio will also feature drummer Savannah Harris, a very high-profile female drummer who has been playing in the New York jazz scene with Jason Moran, Aaron Parks, Geri Allen, Terence Blanchard, Christian McBride, and many other distinguished groups. Don’t miss it.
