The band was named after the acronym for Acoustic Progressive Jazz in an attempt to play progressive music in the style of a piano trio. Their fourth album, 'Ryusen kei no motsure (Streamlined tangles)’, has been highly acclaimed not only by jazz fans but also by progressive rock fans.
