Akira Ishiguro is a Japanese American guitarist living in New York. Graduated from Berklee College of Music. He is active in the New York jazz scene. He regularly performs with his own band at 55 Bar, as well as at Blue Note and Smalls. He has performed with Maria Schneider, George Garzone, Christian McBride, Seamus Blake, and John Ellis. As leader and co-leader, he has released six albums and appeared in more than 20 albums.
