The Toshiyuki Honda Burning Wave Quartet is supported by people who love Toshiyuki Honda's passion for the saxophone, and has released two albums to date, and continues to carry out ambitious activities. Toshiyuki Honda BW4 will be releasing their third new album 'Mr. C.C' on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, under the Pit Inn label. This new album is dedicated to the great pianist Chick Corea, who was also one of Toshiyuki Honda's idols, and includes Honda’s newly written songs as well as Chick Corea's originals.
This time, the recording members were Soichi Noriki and Shingo Okudaira, the regular members of the band, and Gregg Lee, an old friend of ours. We played very well together, keeping the excellent groove of the band. And with the addition of up-and-coming superstar guitarist May Inoue, we have the perfect sound to anticipate the future of this unit. The love for Chick Corea expressed by Toshiyuki Honda with the best members of this group is a manifestation of the love for Chick Corea in Japan. Don't miss this special show with the new album!
