“There are two things I am seeking in jazz. One is to swing, and the other is to be funky.” Shingo Okudaira, speaking with an unwavering gaze, said that his ultimate idol is still Art Blakey (ds). Taking the famous tune ‘Moanin'’ as an example, he cheerfully began to talk about the appeal of the jazz giant. This inevitably led to his beliefs as a jazz drummer and his own leadership theory. The inherited respect for the jazz giant will be reflected and enjoyed via his great performance of the day. For those of you who could not make it or who live far away, we will leave the video of the concert for later streaming and archives.
