June 13th was the day I moved to New York in 1971. I’ve been playing at the Pit Inn on this day for the past several years. I have been a member of the Sadao Watanabe Quartet since the beginning of the Pit Inn, so I think it is my musical starting point. This time we have divided the event into two days: Day 1, which will focus on favorite standards, and Day 2, which will feature selections from my own original compositions.
