20th: In response to the enthusiastic requests for a repeat performance, the extraordinarily talented quartet will return to the stage again. Back in 1986, I teamed up with the greatest masters, Takehiro Honda, Mitsuaki Furuno, and Motohiko Hino, for “THE SUPER QUARTET”. Unfortunately, Takehiro Honda and Motohiko Hino have passed away. We invite two musicians who have a very close relationship with these two late musicians to join us again this year for an ongoing reunion!
21st: Sessions with fierce musicians from Sax quartets that reign supreme, such as the Trouvère Quartet and Quartet SPIRITUS, are my life’s work… Sometimes stormy, sometimes sorrowfully calm, they run in all directions, far surpassing any sound you could imagine for the score! Jazz? Classical? Or…?
31st: This is a live performance by my regular group. The albums under this band’s name now have three titles. Again, we are in a super-matured condition since we are returning from a tour. I guess we’re classified as a fusion band, but all the members have strong personalities, so there is no way for them to be in a soft harmony. The way they blast through the line just on the edge of the boundary with a delicate balance is truly a burning wave!
