Raised in the United States from an early age, he studied jazz performance and composition at Berklee College of Music and moved to New York in 2006. He has performed with numerous musicians, including Maria Schneider, Mark Guiliana, and Christian McBride, and has appeared on many albums as a bandleader, co-leader, and sideman.
