This is a unit by pianist and composer Haruko Nara. "Bogobireman" means "red earth" in the language of the West African Republic of Mali. During her 41 years living in New York, she visited Africa seven times to study music, and the group performs primarily original compositions that utilize the rhythms and grooves she learned during those visits.
