A unit where Tzboguchi's chameleon-like pianism blossoms. Jazz drum master Kazuaki Yokoyama, who has an unparalleled taste in tone, joins forces with up-and-coming bassist Yuka Konishi, making her debut performance, and Latin Afro master Gen Ogimi to express the sound we seek.
Looking back, when I first started performing with my band at Shinjuku Pit Inn in the spring of 1990, the lineup also included percussion. I have always wanted to add color and playfulness to the bottom end, and as an evolution of last year's album, “Masayasu Tzboguchi TRIO MⅢ,” I have realized a tribal, swaying ensemble. I will also be doing modular DJing during the intermission.
