The three elements of modern music are rhythm, melody, and harmony.
However, in ancient times, both in the East and the West, rhythm and melody were the framework of music, and in Japan, music developed with several pentatonic scales.
In this issue of "The Minyo," we focus on the symbolic words Yin and Yang, as well as the strong energy of "ambiguity" that remains in Japanese folk songs, and show that what we thought was unique to Japan is actually the same throughout the world.
